Description of my workshops and policies
What will you learn in my workshops?
Although situations will obviously vary from place to place, all of my workshops will cover the following:
My workshops are just that: opportunities to work. But that does not mean we can’t have fun and enjoy the local sites.
You will gain insights that you never got from the books or DVDs on photography.
I will give you specific directions on how to compose and frame a picture and crop it in the camera; how to achieve a special kind of look, such as Low Key or High Key, and much more.
Every day you will be shooting on assignment under my constant guidance and supervision. I will be critiquing some of the images that you shoot during these days together and tell you what I really think, and what I would have done or will do in Photoshop if need be.
Of course you will be asking questions, and I will not simply give you a spoken answer but will give you a practical demonstration. You will learn not only from your own questions but from everyone else’s as well.
In some of my workshops there will be paid models under my direction, posing for your cameras, and in these cases I will instruct you not only on what lens to choose and why for each particular situations, but I will also teach you how to direct a scene and get models to pose for you, what to say, how to talk to a model, what kinds of poses to aim for, what point of view works better with what lens, etc.
Not only you will receive critique on some of the images you will be taking, but I will choose some of your photographs and demonstrate what I would do in Photoshop to rescue them or improve them if they were my images.
You will get over your fear of going up to strangers and asking them to sign a model release for your photographs, so you can eventually sell your best shots.
All of this and more under my guidance.
Be prepared, because if you sign up for one of my workshops, you are going to get hooked and want to come again and again.

thank you very much for your interest.
I am always seeking perfection in my attempt to tell a story in just one frame.
As a man, I never really had much interest in reading text; to me the images that illustrate an article or book are the only important thing to focus on. Perhaps Mother Nature sought to compensate for my dyslexia by blessing me with a greater visual imagination.
As a viewer, I love to see how other photographers interpret reality, offering us their unique perspective and point of view to arouse our human curiosity and help us all to develop our creativity by using our imagination.
As an artist, I pay as much attention as possible to details, lighting, colors and texture and include the environment, where the subject of my photograph lives within the frame. I love using my wide-angle lens; I like to make a statement by enlarging a detail in my imagery by deforming the size of objects with this lens, making them appear larger than they really are. It is like underlining a sentence in a book, making it stronger, bolder.
As a photographer, I am obsessed with the idea of being able to tell a full story in one frame only. Too often our minds are influenced by what the narrator or the journalist is telling us; I want individual viewer to be less passive and able to create his or her own vision of reality. That‘s when I feel my mission has been accomplished, because my task is reporting the truth to viewers and at the same time leaving them enough space and freedom to create their own story through their imagination, with my imagery.
